Another business English dictionary! What for?
One of the major challenges for teaching students of MBA programs is to provide learners of business English with professional word-stock enhancing their ability to interact with their clients, bosses and colleagues from different countries worldwide.
To meet these requirements a trilingual thematic business dictionary was compiled.*
The main advantage which distinguishes our dictionary from others is its theme-based structure.
About 6000 words and phrases are arranged in 4 big sections: Accounting and Finance; Business and Economics; Management and Marketing which are then further subdivided into more than 30 themes. Thus when you are learning a particular subject of business or reading professional literature related to it you just find the theme you need and review or learn terminology. A lot of terms are not only translated but explained.
Three alphabetic indexes (English, Ukrainian and Russian) allow you to use the Dictionary for translation.
The second edition of the Dictionary is accompanied by the Practice Disc* which is a computer program created to become a practical tool for learning business vocabulary using interactive method.
We recommend you: while using the Practice Disc get back to the Dictionary when you have many mistakes or doubt a lot.
Special attention has been paid to learning metaphors and idioms abound in the language of business. To add to this there are also some crosswords, chain-word puzzles, quizzes. Mention should also be made of a very important feature of the Practice Disc: each exercise is accompanied with the keys where users can see correct variants.
Judging from the FEEDBACK we can say that the Dictionary is being used not only by students but also by teachers, interpreters and scholars.
